EmissionBase data meets CarbonXplorer reporting: scientific depth and practical transparency for financial institutions and leasing companies
STH Consulting, provider of validated CO₂ asset data via the EmissionBase platform, and PS Team ESG GmbH, developer of the CarbonXplorer CO₂ reporting solution, announce an expansion of their partnership. The cooperation combines scientific methodology with operational reporting expertise and enables CO₂ transparency across the entire life cycle, from production and operation to transport and recycling.
The deepened cooperation stems from an initiative launched earlier this year: STH Consulting developed methodological concepts for calculating CO₂ values in the production phase, integrated them into EmissionBase and delivered validated data to CarbonXplorer. This data foundation paved the way for a comprehensive lifecycle approach.
In order to meet the requirements for holistic emissions reporting in accordance with the GHGProtocol beyond the production and operation phases, both companies investigated emissions from the transport and recycling phases. The research was conducted by STH in collaboration with the University of Ostrava and with the active support of PS Team. Using the life cycle of solar modules as an example, the scientific basis was created for a flexible transport and recycling calculator that can be transferred to other asset classes.
STH provides researchand a robust database, while PS Team translates the findings into user-friendly, verifiable reporting workflows. Both companies retain their independent products. However, defined interfaces create an interoperable end-to-end solution that provides international customers, especially financial institutions and leasing companies, with detailed CO₂ data and actionable reports that are adapted to regional requirements and cover the entire lifecycle.
